    Webinars are a powerful tool for educating and engaging audiences but require proper planning and execution. Let's explore the tips for hosting a compelling event that meets your organization's goals.

    Learn from the Best

    There are two ways you can learn:

    • Attend webinars hosted by your favorite educators: If there's a content creator or industry expert you admire, attend their webinars and take note of their techniques.
    • Research online resources: Many online resources are available to help you master the art of hosting webinars. Look for webinar best practices, articles, checklists, and courses that provide tips for creating compelling content and delivering engaging presentations.

    Choose the Right Webinar Training Platform

    Selecting the right webinar platform is important to your success. Here are some factors to consider:

    • Features: Look for a platform that offers all the necessary elements, such as hosting live and pre-recorded webinars, screen sharing, whiteboard, chat, polling, Q&A, and recording. 
    • Ease of use: The platform should be easy to use for you and your attendees.
    • Integration: If you use other tools like event email marketing software or CRM, make sure that the platform integrates with those tools.
    • Scalability: Choose a platform that can grow with you and meet your future needs.
    • Pricing: Consider the pricing and whether it fits in your budget.

    The promotion and follow up are the two biggest things. I think it's great to be able to send a recording of the webinar to those that attended, but also to those that accepted - but may not have attended.

    Event marketing and follow-up are ideal. We additionally record trainings in order to ensure others can view them after the webinar is over.

    We focus a lot on email marketing and social media (paid linkedin ads) to get the word out

      • What is a key tip that you follow while conducting webinar training?
        We record our webinars so that they can be referred to in the future. For internal training, we sometimes will also add them to our LMS.

    We would conduct "online" mind map after our meeting to know "What's in the mind of the attendees?"

    I prefer to digest the webinar into a PDF document to allow for reference without having to rewatch a full webinar.  I also like to review feedback surveys to see if there is a key area we're missing or not making clear and what attendees felt we could improve on.

    • What is a key tip that you follow while conducting webinar training?
      We have really started to utilize "Add to Calendar" more, as well as social sharing of confirmation pages

    I think selecting the right platform -you can't do the webinar if you don't have a great platform to start with-a virtual platform that will help you to meet your objectives of the webinar.

    • What is a key tip that you follow while conducting webinar training? The more you can market it, including day-of and hour-of reminders, the better. We also record the session and send it out to both attendees and non-attendees to capture additional views. However, in an effort to encourage live participation, we do not tell folks in advance that it will be recorded and available for post-event viewing.

    I think the promotion and marketing is very important. Audience engagement (polls) during the webinar, and making the recording available for those to rewatch in perpetuity.
