Has anyone tried to set up an analytics tracking code for their web event calendar? I've tried every which way to add the script from Google Analytics (GA4) using code snippets and I get zero tracking. Our events pages are currently being tracked using GA4 with no problem since that's easily added thru the admin area. So far CVENT support has offered a few things to try but nothing has helped move the needle.

    Hi Daryl,

    Hope you are well!

I checked about this and currently Google Analytics (GA4) works well within the events however, the option of analytics tracking for Event Calendar is not yet available with GA4.

I understand your perspective and apologize for any inconvenience. But, it sounds like a great feedback. I suggest you to post this as an Idea/feedback for our product team by going to Cvent Community > Participate > Product Ideas. We encourage you to always submit your ideas or any challenges you face while working with the product. As it also help our Product Development team to review the possibilities and if it works we may try to incorporate such changes in our future releases.
    I hope this helps.

    Hello Daryl,

    I hope you're well!

Since you have mentioned that GA4 is working fine for tracking "events pages".

I do not use GA in my org account for some reasons. Have you tried checking your GA admin account configuration for "File Downloads" if you're referring to track the "Add to Calendar" that is event calendar file which downloads?

In GA4, this is enabled by default, so you're probably fine, but if you want to verify, log into your GA4 account and check if file download tracking enabled or disabled. It works in external websites with JS and GT manager.

Wondering why it's "zero tracking" as event page tracking works! And I'm all ears for WWW(WhatWentWrong) / any alternative suggestions for tracking event calendar link on the website built via Cvent platform.
