Looking for some input from other event managers of what technology is out there, that can work well with CVent, for attendee contact exchange and lead retrieval... but that isn't QR Code based. Our company has used one technology for a few years now that uses RFID technology integrated into our badges that allow attendees (exhibitors, sponsors, attendees, etc) to exchange contact information between one another. They can see these contacts inside the mobile app, but it's also just emailed to them after the event so that it doesn't require the mobile app for someone to exchange information. It's been great but we're needing to end our contract with the current company and are looking for others that offer similar solutions.
Right now most "smart badges" require a mobile app download and a scanning of a QR code for that contact exchange to happen. We're trying to eliminate the need for a mobile app to allow this to happen, rather instead allow it to be via a standalone tool (like the badge or a wrist band).
Just curious what other technology is out there that we should look at to give us a similar experience.
