    If I have a saved excel file with only one name in it to see if the import will work and I select a group will the import only update the name in my file?  Thank you!

    Yes, as long as there is no other information on the sheet, nothing else will be updated within Cvent. If you had blank fields attached to an email address, then they would be updated as blank.

    The upload will happen based on how you map the fields.  You can have a spreadsheet with blank columns or loads of data and only upload one column in that sheet.  You will get to a stage where you have to map the fields - there is an option for do not import.

    I do not clean files for import, I just map the fields I want uploaded
