Hi Kasey,
You're on the right track! If you keep the placeholder breakout sessions as required agenda items (e.g., "Breakout Session #2, 10:00-11:00 AM"), registrants will see that they have something scheduled during that time. Once the specific breakout session options are finalized, you can add them as optional sessions under that time block.
Just a heads-up-if you add the new sessions as "Optional", attendees can go back and select their preferred breakout session in the event app or Attendee Hub after they've registered. I'd also recommend marking the new sessions as "Featured" so they appear on the front page of the app for better visibility. However, if you add the new sessions as "Included," they will automatically be added to everyone's schedule without requiring selection.
Let me know if you have any other questions-happy to help!

Madeline - Thank you for the response and for the help hints! We will be using the Attendee Hub app onsite. We are new to CVENT and this is our first go with the website/registration/APP. Our agency purchased the suite for another event and now are team is using it, so learning as we go. If I have the placeholder for the breakout session on the agenda as a required session (Breakout Session # 1 10:00-11:00) and then hope to have four options for breakouts during that session, should I keep that session #2 holder on the agenda as a required session and then can add in their options later?
example - I register and I see that I am given Break Session #2 10-11am on my schedule, so I know I have something during that time, but I will be able to make my session choice later on.

Hi Kasey,
You can launch registration without the breakout sessions on the agenda and once the sessions are ready, you can add them into registration as optional sessions. You can then invite your registrants back to modify their registrations and select their desired breakout sessions. If you create the sessions now as required blocks of time (included sessions), they will be assigned to all registrants and display on everyone's agendas. Will you be using the Attendee Hub app onsite?

Hi - We are utilizing registration for a conference that includes both general and breakout sessions. We know we are going to have 6 breakout session blocks and have the times scheduled. We do not have the individual sessions finalized so I am not able to build them out and put them onto the site for registrants to choose. If we open registration and I have all the blocks are required sessions, will attendees be able to go back in a either select their breakout sessions (when they are finalized) or at least be able to see the options so they can pick on the day of the event?
