I am needing to find a way to use a buy one get one free discount without it being 50% off. I need to be able to have 2 people register and see that one is free. Is there a way to do this in Cvent? I haven't found a way to do this with our events. Has anyone done this or have any tips/advice?

Apart from discount codes, you can use Volume Discounts in Cvent to implement a Buy One, Get One Free (BOGO) offer.

1. Go to Discounts in your event and select Volume Discounts.

2. Set the Threshold to 0 (so the discount applies immediately).

3. Select "Subtract a percentage" as the discount method.

4. Set the Percentage to 100% (to make every second registration free).

5. Apply the Discount Repeatedly at an interval of 2 registrations (so every second attendee is free).

This way, when two people register together, one is automatically free without displaying a 50% discount.

If you are using group registration, you can create a volume discount. If register 2 people at the same time, they will get the second person free. Below are some instructions and a link to the volume discount articles. If you need assistance, contact Cvent Support. Hope this helps.

Select the discount type as 'Volume discount' > Threshold: 0 > Method: Subtract a percentage > Amount/Percentage: 100.00 > Once the threshold is exceeded, apply this discount to: Repeatedly at a specified interval after the threshold > Interval: 2nd > Select the Registration Items you want the discount to be applied to > Click on Save.
