I'm in the process of updating our event with sessions and need to put them in groups.  I have watched the videos and completed the academy training - both say there is a dropdown under agenda labeled session groups -- this is not visible on my event.  I have Session List and Session Locations - nothing about groups.

    I have 3 sessions created
    All are available for registration
    Optional items
all are categorized as Breakout Sessions

    What am I missing?

Also -- It's been several years since I used CVENT -- so I'd also like to confirm that these sessions are not live until I create a page for them and publish the page in the registration process.  Our event is live for registration, we are just now adding our agenda items for selection.

    Thank you!

I'm new to CVENT and having the same issue, but I'm not smart enough to find the Event Configuration settings to "turn it on". Can someone please point me in the right direction?

As it is, the groups are properly created (per documentation and video), but the Session Group names are not appearing in the Agenda, and the Sessions are therefore not grouped.

    Thank you,

    Hi Andrea,

    Hope you are well!

In regards to 'Event configuration' it was part of classic events and now in flex you can enable features from the General tab of event home page (Screen shot attached). Please review the following article to get more insight of the new experience:

    Home Page Overview
    https://support.cvent.com/s/communityarticle/Home-Page-Overview?is_article=true&lang=en_US&searchFor=event%20features&page=1

About the second part of your query, if you have already created the session groups by clicking on its name you can review under the section 'Associated Sessions' to see what all sessions are part of that group. Session group is not a part of Agenda as an invitees can't select a group but sessions instead. Therefore, currently the individual sessions will be a part of the agenda and not the group.

However, you can use categories/code/custom fields (screenshot attached) and set as the primary sorting criteria to experiment with grouping. Although, that also will only made changes in the display order and will still only show individual sessions. Here's another article which will provide more details about 'Display priority'.

Using Display Priority to Reorder Sessions and Session Groups

    I hope this helps.
