Hi Karen,
I completely understand how frustrating that mismatch is. Right now, the Speaker Resource Center is unfortunately hard‑coded to use a US English date format (MM/DD/YYYY) and isn't yet tied to the event's locale settings, so even when your event is configured for Australia/NZ, the speaker portal will still show dates in the US format.
I have shared this as product feedback on your behalf; better localization for SRC (including support for DD/MM/YYYY or long‑form dates) is a known improvement area. In the meantime, a common workaround is to add a short note in the speaker portal (for example, in a text/widget area or within the task descriptions) explicitly stating that "Dates are shown in MM/DD/YYYY format" so speakers know how to interpret session times and deadlines.

Subject: Date formats
I am based in New Zealand.
I set my conference to Australia as there is no New Zealand able to be picked - I can live with that.
What is frustrating is that in the speakers' portal the speaking times are shown in the US format - mm/dd/yyyy .
The dates are entered in the NZ/ Australian format of dd/mm/yyyy so why can't this be shown in the 'correct' format in the speakers portal?
