Hi there - the Add to Calendar option is intended to work in event emails, so if the link is disappearing after you make edits, that sounds like intermittent/unexpected behavior rather than expected setup behavior.
As a workaround, you could try either of these options:
- Use a custom button/link that points to an uploaded
.ics file from your Document Library instead of the widget itself.
- If this is for session-based confirmations, use the My Agenda widget and turn on Display Session Calendar Download.
If it keeps happening, I'd recommend reaching out to Cvent Customer Care so they can review the specific email/template and troubleshoot further, since intermittent save behavior is not expected.
