I would like to collect additional information from each person that is registered via the Group Registration path.  Is there a way that i can develop a survey and email each individual registrant requesting they complete it?  The person completing the short Group Registration form would not have this information.

Hope you are doing well!

I reviewed your query and basis my understanding you need to collect additional information from each person that is registered via the Group Registration path. To do so, we can create event questions and make them required so that no one can skip them while registering for the event. 

All you need to do is go to the site designer, select that particular path, and add the questions on whichever page you like.  I am attaching the relevant article link below:
