  • 1.  How to change Navigation Bar's Dropdown Menu background color?

    Posted 02-11-2025 23:28

I have folders with sub-pages on the Navigation Menu.

Does anyone know how to change the background colour of the dropdown menu?
Does it follow any theme color?

    Many Thanks!

You can customize the background of the Navigation Widget in the Site Designer.   Click into Navigation > Customize > Widget > then adjust your background color or upload a graphic.  This will only change the area where the Navigation Bar is.  In addition or instead, you may want to change the background of the Section your Navigation Bar is in.  The dropdown menu will also have the same background in either case.

    Dear Michele,

That is close, but not what I am looking for.
I have a Folder on the navigation menu. There is a dropdown menu that is always the same color as the background of the navigation menu. How can I pick another color for the dropdown so it doesn't look transparent?

    Dennis and Michelle,

I am experiencing the same issue. However, my drop down appears all white. Did you figure out how to change the colors of the drop down page links?

    Thanks,

    Sarah

No, I was not able to change the color. That was a few months ago.

    Hello Zeina,

Apologies for the delayed response. Based on the screenshot you shared, it appears that the page links and section background are both set to white, causing the text to blend into the background.

To fix this, please go to Site Designer, select the section, and change the background color to something that allows the white text to be visible.

Let me know if you have any questions or need further guidance.

    Hi!

Popping in to this thread because I just submitted a ticket for the exact same problem. This is the path I was given to fix the issue: Go to your event >Registration >Registration Process >Open Site Designer >Click on the dropdown on the top left >Click on the Default Header and Footer page > Click on the Header Section > Customize > Fields > Background Color: Transparent >Save and Publish.

Also keep in mind that most browsers keep that kind of info in cache, so you'll have to either open your website in an incognito window or clear the cache to double check the changes! Happens to me all the time in Chrome.

    Cheers,

    Hi Beline,

Thanks so much for jumping in and sharing the detailed steps! You're right-cache and cookies can make it tricky to see updates sometimes. I usually prefer Firefox over Chrome, as Chrome tends to store more cache and cookies, which can make changes harder to spot.

A good practice is to clear the cache at the start of the day or use an incognito/private window if in doubt.
