  • 1.  Invalid contact type code or name

    I just tried importing a registration spreadsheet into the system but received the error message "Invalid contact type code or name".  I used the spreadsheet template provided by Cvent and matched the column headers so not sure why the issue.  Has anyone experienced this before or have any recommendations?  Thank  you.

    Hi Will,

    The contact type code or name needs to match exactly what has been added to the event in Cvent within General > Registration Types in order for it to import successfully. There also shouldn't be any formatting, special characters, or additional spaces anywhere in your import file and the registration type should be active/open for registration in the event (set to "Yes" within the registration type settings itself in General > Registration Types.) I would recommend reaching out to our 24/7 Customer Care team if you are still experiencing issues with your import and they will be able to take a look at the file for you and help troubleshoot so you can import successfully!
