  • 1.  "Invalid Session Status" when trying to import sessions

    Hello, I am getting this error for every import I try to do for our sessions. "Invalid Session Status"

    There is no article that explains what this error means or how I am suppose to fix it.

    Hi Catherine,

    Thanks for your question! The session status is related to whether or not the session should be included with registration or optional for registrants to select from. Does the import sheet have a column with this information? The value would either be optional or included. I believe when importing, you should map this field to "Session Type".

    Hi! I have received this error before and it usually is due to having "Optional" or "Included" listed as the session type. Optional is used for demo sessions happening at the same time and included has set times that don't overlap each other.

    All imports will also tell you what fields are required before uploading them.  When you look at the required fields make sure they are all on your upload spreadsheet.  Many of the failure messages can be a bit cryptic and difficult to figure out which field is incorrect and why but customer support can quickly help as well if you get stuck.

    It sounds like you are missing a field. Make sure you are including all the required fields in your upload!

    I would check your spreadsheet to ensure all required fields are included in your upload. Specifically the session type (Included or Optional).

    Great question, Catherine! I've run into this issue quite a bit - as others have pointed out, the issue has to do with the columns included in your session upload file. The file will not be uploaded unless you have the column for "Included" vs "Optional" on your spreadsheet.

    Sounds like a problem with your data - usually this is because you're missing a field column in your upload, or the names for the columns aren't matching properly. Make sure befor eyou upload that you have all the required fields and that things are named correctly so they map.

    Catherine,

    Looks like others have said this but you are NOT alone. I remember this issue and it drove me crazy.

    When I did an event in the Hub it was due to an optional vs required session.  There was also a spreadsheet that was missing fields.  Can you download a sheet with everything to see what is missing?
