I've found these Knowledge Base articles to be extremely helpful in setting up multi-language events:

Unlike Mike, I've found it easiest to handle translations through an import. I build the site out in English, export the text, and then send that file (along with any clarifying information like which email is being sent when, etc.) to whomever is doing the translations. They put the translations right into that spreadsheet and then I import it back into Cvent. It all just depends on your workflow preferences which will be easier for you.
Keep in mind that a separate invitation list will be created for each language. This also means that there will be multiple sets of emails - one for each invitation list.
Best of luck!
