  • 1.  Link to last completed abandoned registration page

In the case when a registrant abandoned a registration, Cvent provides a way to automate an email encouraging them to complete registration. Is there a way to insert a link on that email to the last page completed in their abandoned registration? I see "Last page completed" in the Abandonded Registrations within an event, but do not know how to access it dynamically to create a URL.

That would be so cool! But I don't thing that functionality exists. However, (if I have this correct) if they are on the same IP address and it recognizes them, it's going to ask them if they want to start registration over, and if they say no, all of the information they input before will be there up to the page they jumped off.

    Hi Jamie,

    Hope you are well!

During registration, once someone makes it past the first page of registration, every time they click Next their work on previous pages is saved for a week if they abandon the registration.  Invitees will be timed-out of registration after 20 minutes of idle activity. However, these invitees will only be added to the Abandoned Registrations list after a total of 40 minutes. If an invitee wants to complete their registration, they can either begin a new registration immediately after their registration has timed-out or they can resume their initial registration once 40 minutes has passed and they are officially added to the list of Abandoned Registrations.

You can create the email with audience type as 'Invitees who abandoned registration' and keep the send setting as 'When an invitee abandons registration' or schedule the email to go out at future date and time and within the email, you can add the default RSVP Yes data tag in the email  (Please note that this email cannot be manually sent). Once the invitee clicks on the data tag, the system will recognize their email address and will show a pop up asking if they want to resume their previous registration. If the invitee selects Yes, they will see the information they filled earlier and can resume the registration. If they select No, then they'll have to fil out the details again.

Currently, we do not have any data tag that will take the abandoned invitee directly to the last page of registration that they abandoned from. I understand your perspective and apologize for any inconvenience. But, it sounds like a great feedback. I suggest you to post this as an Idea/feedback for our product team by going to Cvent Community > Participate > Product Ideas.  We encourage you to always submit your ideas or any challenges you face while working with the product. As it also help our Product Development team to review the possibilities and if it works we may try to incorporate such changes in our future releases.
