Haha...not to complicate it more, but you actually can do those things with group registration, by assigning an admission item to the group registrant and limiting the sessions that admission item can choose from, then adding a volume discount so that the second registrant isn't charged, only the first one is.

Thank you that really does help.
I think the issue I was having with the group registration was that I need to only charge one fee to the original registrant and not to the second attendee. The new registrant should only be able to select sessions on the second day and the original registrant can only select sessions form the first day. Its all a bit confusing.
I will have a look at the guest option with different registration types and see if I can get that to work.
Thank you,
Jess

Hi Jessica,
Hmmm, I'm guessing you've decided group registration wouldn't link them well enough, since they would still each have their own confirmation number (though they would also have a group one...)
My other thought would be to still use guest registration, but have different registration types for them to select from on the guest form. One could be a "Attendee Guest" and the other could be "Shared Pass Attendee," or something to that effect. Then they would still be linked but you could differentiate.
Not really sure that helps, but those were my thoughts. I'd love to hear other ideas too!
