Cvent Beginners

I have been with CVent two years.  I know CVent is not designed to be a member management software, but they are trying!  Any good advice you can share or tips on membership management would be great.  We just launched the member portal to our members.  I'm figuring out reports to run to get the information I need.

I wish I could see who has created their accounts in the portal.  In the past I had a membership event for my membership.

Hi Kelly,

You can confirm active users through a view - Admin > Access Portal > Portal Users 

will show the following fields:

Name	Username	Email Address	Last Login	Active

Also the User Details report might be a good starting point.

Admin > Reporting > Reports > User Details

Not sure if you can view who created the account. But maybe custom fields may be useful for this purpose.

We are a membership association and have used Cvent's membership portal since 2019. It has gotten better over the last few years. We run monthly reports for membership by state. The renewal emails send automatically before the end of the membership year. We are also able to charge the appropriate conference registration based on the attendee's membership status. It runs very smoothly now.

It may not be for membership management, but you can certainly run reports filtered to show you status if you have that as a custom field, or you can look at portal users if you think some people are falling through the cracks that way.
