I definitely agree on linking to the website to give a better quality looking page with more graphic and font options. Are you referencing the Attendee Hub Website or the Event Website? I have yet to build an Attendee Hub Website because we host incentive trips versus conferences and such, so we use the Event and Registration website and then I build the Event app after. I have only built a couple apps, but I discovered on the most recent one how to link the Event Website pages to the app, giving it a much esthetically pleasing look. And then I have a few custom pages that I just link to a document/PDF page that I built in InDesign. It's too bad the custom pages in the Attendee Hub are so limited in terms of design. I'd definitely be interested in checking out the new capabilities released in Q4. Do you know where I can find a list or article on these new additions?

Great question, and I'm also curious if anyone does lay it out in advance. The Home Page has many parts so I build it out one by one, and rearrange or display different items throughout the event. (banners, cards, etc) For the Pages, I utilize the layout of the website for our event. You can either link each page by URL, or I copy/paste the text into new AH Page. I only copy the URL if I have turned off/removed the Navigation Bar & Register Now in the Header. We don't want them leaving AH and getting sent down a loop on their browser of the website pages. Another route I am considering this year is to Duplicate my webpage (or in your case you could build it out what you want it to look like in AH), then change the headers so the Navigation Bar, Register Now, etc are not seen. Linking the URL to the duplicated page seems like it will deliver a better looking page with more graphic and font options. (I know in Q4 they released some additional design capabilities on AH pages - I have not used those yet!)

Hi again all!
I'm curious, do any of you layout the mobile app before actually creating it? For instance, write the copy beforehand in a word doc, or maybe create a mockup layout in InDesign or something similar before? Or do you just dive right into the app? I'm trying to figure out the best way to start the initial design process, brainstorming, etc. Any supporting photos or documents are appreciated :)
