Hi! 

We are exploring ways to encourage our attendees to book within our blocks. We were exploring the idea of offering a small discount for those that reserve a room at one of our contracted hotels and are able to verify this (add a confirmation number or something). Has anyone done this before? Is there a widget that already has this built in? I know that Cvent can collect travel booking information for the planner to make the reservations, but we are looking for folks to book on their own, but then enter in their confirmation so that the discount applies automatically.

Hi Allison,

There isn't a widget that is built in to the site already but you might want to see if the hotel can provide some sort of code to the registrant once they are booked and then the registrant can enter that into the discount code area upon registering. Additionally, if you use Passkey integration, you can have this set up on a specific registration path that already has a discount included in the price and then automatically have attendees go into your booking site to reserve a room through your room block.
