  • 1.  Unable to Remove Duplicate Pricing Page in Registration Flow

    Posted 22 days ago

    Hello Cvent Community,

I'm reaching out for help with an issue on our Cvent registration site involving duplicate pricing pages.

In the registration flow, attendees are first asked to select conference, workshop, and tutorial options, each with their respective pricing. After making these selections and moving to the next step, the site again prompts users to select the same workshop and tutorial options with the same pricing. This duplication is confusing for registrants.

We've had several back-and-forth discussions with both the Cvent executive team and ACM, but so far we've been unable to remove or disable this second, redundant pricing page.

As a temporary workaround, I disabled the pricing on the second page so it now shows TBD, and attendees can proceed without making a selection. However, this is not an ideal solution since the page itself is still visible. I'm also unable to delete this page from the Cvent webmaster-the Delete option is disabled.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue, or can you advise on:

    • Why the delete option might be disabled for this page, and

    • How we can fully remove or suppress this second pricing page so workshops and tutorials are only selected once?

Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Best regards,
    Shanu

    Hi Shanu,

I took a look at your event and can see that you have the workshop and tutorial options setup both as an admission item AND as sessions. Within your registration process, you have a page that includes the admission item widget, and then a second page that shows the sessions widget. Because these are separate items technically, the pages will show with their respective fees.

I can also see that in the site designer you have successfully deleted the page containing the session items, but you have not published those changes. I would advise publishing your changes and testing again, as you shouldnt see the sessions page.
