Hello everyone,

I'm looking on some guidance about using voucher codes as passwords for one of my registration types.  We have a group of meetings during our conference that we only want certain organizations to be able to view and register.  However, we are not certain which individuals from these organizations will be attending so I will not be able to limit registration by an email list.  This lead me to using the voucher codes.  I already have a different registration types set up, but I have not been able to figure out a way to set up this password or associate the voucher code with the registration type.  I have been looking through the Custom Registration Type Logic, but it appears that Voucher Codes are not one of the field options.  Any assistance (even if that means telling me that there is a easier way to do this) would be greatly apricated.

Hi Benjamin,

I don't believe Voucher Codes can be applied to individual registration types.  Once the Voucher Code widget is applied to the registration process, a code becomes required for anyone trying to register.

Thank you for reaching out! Jess is correct that you cannot apply voucher codes to be used by only certain registration types, but you can include the Voucher Code widget on individual registration paths. So, if your registration types are associated to different registration paths you can, for example, add the Voucher Code widget to just the VIP registration path so anyone with the corresponding registration type(s) who get routed to register on that path will need to enter in a required voucher code like a password to proceed.
