I'm currently working on an event that has a very long waitlist. I would like to be able to have a graph of waitlisted registrations over time, like the accepted registrations over time graph shown on the event home area, but when I try to edit the report I don't have the option to add waitlisted registrants, just the categories of invitees and guests. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but I can only see the accepted registrants data and I would like to have the waitlisted registrations over time data.

The report that you ran is 'Registrant Details' from the event homepage which shows the details of the people who have registered for the event. Since you want to show the graph for 'Waitlisted' invitees who have not yet registered for the event, you may try to run the 'Invitee Details'  report in the event and then try to edit the graph to display the data. For this please go to your event > Reports > Reports > Report Template > search for 'Invitee Details' report and click on it.
