Hi Kacy,
The 'Register Now' buttons appear grayed out when your event is in Pending status because registration is not yet open. To test the registration flow while keeping the event unpublished, you can switch the event status to Test Mode. This allows you and your team to fully test the registration process without making the event live to actual invitees.
To do this:
-
Go to the Event Status in your event dashboard.
-
Change it to Test Mode.
-
You'll then be able to click on the registration buttons and go through the full process.
Once you're done testing, you can switch the status back to Pending until you're ready to launch.
Please contact me if you need any assistance with your event in Cvent!

Subject: Why can't I test my registration process?
Hello,
My team and I are fairly new to Cvent, and I'm running into an issue while building/testing my event website. I have sent numerous tests to myself with no issue, but I have noticed lately that when I'm testing my website, the 'Register Now' buttons are all grayed out, and I'm not able to click them and fake-register. This is the same event website that I tested two days ago and had no problem registering for. Can someone please advise why this is happening and how I can fix it? I'm not ready to open the website to invitees yet, so registration is in the 'pending' status. Thanks!
