Hi Natasha,
This is a current limitation of Cvent's survey reporting.
Number questions store a raw numeric value, but they don't behave like "scoring" questions in reports. That means you can't have Cvent automatically add up the numbers entered for a question, and turn that total into a built‑in chart or pie graph the same way the scoring/assessment questions can.
Scoring and Assessments only work with questions where you've explicitly assigned point values and are using the scoring engine; they don't "pick up" regular Number questions or do formula-based calculations on them. Cvent also doesn't support formula-based questions today, so it can't auto-sum those Number answers inside the survey itself or in native survey dashboards.
Because of that, what you're trying to do is not currently possible.
For the future, if you need a score-style chart in Cvent, you can replace (or recreate) your Number questions as scoring/assessment questions or rating questions with point values, and then use the scoring/assessment reports to see totals and charts.
If you just need totals/graphs for the numeric data, you should be able to run a survey answer report (for example, the Answer Details by Respondent / Survey Answer Details), and then export to Excel/CSV, do the sum/aggregation there, and build your chart or pie graph externally.

Subject: Automate Question Scoring
I created a survey with number questions, and I am trying to get a report to add all the numbers entered for each question automatically into a chart or pie graph like it does with "scoring". I've looked this up and tried to follow the directions, but nothing is working. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
