I want new users to use their official email IDs when creating a new account to submit abstracts for an event. How do I do that?

Hi Sangram, 

Its not possible to restrict people from using personal email id's directly but you can do the following -

You can use validations in custom questions

• Question type: Email or Text

• Question text:

  "Official / institutional email address"

Add validations to the question

• Must contain @

• Must NOT contain:

  • @gmail.

  • @yahoo.

  • @hotmail.

  • @outlook.

This works surprisingly well and is widely used.

Second is you can add help text - Personal email IDs (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.) are not accepted. Submissions using personal email addresses will be rejected.

You can even set rules in review process.
