    I put a session on waitlist as I thought we were reaching capacity.  We have worked out a solution to have more with the venue and I want to open it back up, but there are 10 people on the waitlist.  How do I move them from waitlist to signed up for the session?  And until I do that, it is not letting me reopen the session.  HELP!

    Hi Al,

    Hope you are well!

    I believe you are working on the '75th Annual Conference' event under the account PLTSWTX001. I checked your event and see the session 'Celebration of Philanthropy Dinner & Awards Ceremony' shows as full with 8 people in session waitlist.

    You correctly mentioned that until the waitlisted registrants for this session are removed, the session will not show for registration to any new invitee as the system gives preference to those who are in waitlist first to register for the session.

    If you want to register the waitlisted registrants for this session, you can either register them at the backend in bulk (as there is no fee for this session), or send the 'Session Waitlist Notification' email under Email > Session emails to the waitlisted registrants so that they can modify their registration and register for this session at their end.

    1. To register all the waitlisted registrants for the session in bulk at your end, please follow the below mentioned steps :

    Go to the event > Attendees > Attendee list > Advanced search on the right > Scroll down to Agenda Items > Search by Agenda Item > On the waitlist for the following sessions  > Waitlisted Sessions : Celebration of Philanthropy Dinner & Awards Ceremony > Search > Check the box next to 'Name' to select all the 8 waitlisted registrants that show below > Bulk Actions > Update Session registrants > Update method : Register All for a session > Select the Celebration of Philanthropy Dinner & Awards Ceremony session and register the waitlisted registrants for this session.

    2. To send the 'Session Waitlist Notification' email to the invitees, please go to Email > Session emails > click on the 'Session Waitlist Notification' email > Click on Edit button > Switch Active to 'Yes' > Select the Send setting to manually or when the spot becomes available > Select the ' Celebration of Philanthropy Dinner & Awards Ceremony' session >  Save.

    Once saved, you'll be able to send the email and the waitlisted registrants will be able to register for the session via the link in the email.

    Thank you for this... very helpful!  Now since I increased the capacity, will it automatically start allowing people to register again?  Or is there another step I need to take?

    Hi Al,

    Thank you for your response.

    I see that the waitlisted registrants are registered for the session and the session is open for registration as well. Anyone who tries to register for the event will be able to see the session available for selection now.

    I also tested the event in preview mode and I was able to see the session available for selection. If you want, you can also try testing the registration process at your end and see that the session is available at your end too (Do not finish the registration and only test it until the session selection page). Therefore, no further steps are required.

    Once the invitees have registered, you can also run the 'Registration Details by Agenda Item' report or 'Session Registrant Details' report and group this report by session name to get the session registration data at your end.
