Events+ now supports custom pages for calendars. Moving forward, you should use Events+ to host all calendars that require additional content layout, rather than our previous site editor. In addition, Events+ offers advanced functionality, including access control, analytics, marketing parameters, and pre-filled event registrations, to help you maximize the benefits of your calendars.

Getting started with Event Calendars hosted in Events+

How do I switch to Events+?

To ensure a smooth transition and to take full advantage of the new features, please take the following actions promptly: 

  1. Create Events+ Hub - Follow the setup guides for creating and enabling features in Events+ to prepare for calendar migration.
  2. Migrate Event Calendars - Redesign standalone calendar content within Events+ calendar pages.
  3. Update Resources: Update and replace existing calendar URLs with Events+ URLs in your internal and external marketing communication assets.
  4. Update Emails: Replace event calendar data tags with Events+ calendar or Events+ URL.

Host Event Calendars in Events+

  1. Enable in Events+: Under the 'Details' tab, ensure that you have enabled your selected event calendar to be available in Events+.
  2. Navigate to Events+ Hub: Go to 'Events+' in your top navigation, then click on the hub you want to host your event calendar in.
  3. Add Events Calendar to Hub: Navigate to 'Event Calendar' section in your Events+ hub. Click 'Add Event Calendar', select the event calendar you want associated to that hub. 
  4. Customize Calendar Content: Recreate your existing legacy calendar content in Events+ by using custom sections, quick links, and text & images.

Getting started with Calendar

Update the New Calendar

  1. In the Details tab, edit and select a default layout for your new Calendar.
  2. In the Calendar tab, edit and select a theme for your new Calendar.
  3. Once the configuration is complete, return to the Details tab and ensure your visibility status across products has been set as Active to enable the new Calendar.

Update and Disable Legacy Calendar

  1. Update Resources: Update and replace legacy calendar URLs with calendar URLs in your internal and external marketing communication assets.
  2. Update Emails: Replace legacy event calendar tags with new calendar or Events+ URL.
  3. After updating all materials, go to the Legacy Calendar tab.
  4. Set the legacy calendar status to Inactive to complete the update.
