New Navigation

Moving to the New Navigation

A faster, cleaner way to navigate Cvent. We’re excited to introduce a brand-new navigation experience that makes it easier than ever for you to find what you need and get to work on your events.

The new navigation is designed to:

  • Help you find what you need faster
  • Reduce friction for daily workflows
  • Free up screen space and modernize the feel
  • Create consistency across the platform

Getting started with the New Navigation

What is the new navigation?

The new, more responsive navigation helps you get started faster, jump into your day quickly, and move between key workflows with fewer clicks. By streamlining the layout, we’ve freed up valuable screen space, giving you more room to focus on building and managing your events. Updated, bolder visuals create a cleaner, more modern interface that feels easier and more enjoyable for planners to use every day.

We’ve also reorganized menus to better reflect how you think about your events throughout the entire event lifecycle. This makes it easier to understand how different tools are connected and when to use them at each stage of planning and execution.

This new navigation is designed to help you find what you need faster, reduce friction, and keep you focused on what matters most: delivering great events.

When is the new navigation rolling out?

  • April 8, 2026
    • The new navigation becomes available, but you’ll still land on the current navigation by default.
    • A banner at the top of the page will invite you to “Try the new navigation.”
    • You can switch freely between the new and current navigation via this banner.
  • May 6, 2026
    • You’ll be defaulted to the new navigation, but can still return to the current experience using the same banner.
  • After July 1, 2026
    • The new navigation becomes the standard experience going forward.
    • The option to switch back to the legacy navigation is removed.

View what's changing

What is changing?

  • Left-Based Navigation: We’re moving from the current top navigation to a left bar-based global nav that stays with you as you work.
  • App Switcher in the Menu: The app switcher is removed and integrated into the main navigation to simplify user navigation on the platform.
  • Reorganized Menu Items: Top-level items are reorganized into clearer, more intuitive groupings that better mirror how users think about their work.
  • Click view all items to see everything in one place (for planners): At the event level, a refreshed menu helps you jump directly into key areas from anywhere in the event workspace.
  • Search and Recent Items Together: Search and Recent Items are combined into a single, unified entry point so users can quickly search or jump back into recently accessed items from one place.

    What stays the same?

While the navigation is changing, the core capabilities you rely on are not going away.

    • You’ll still be able to create and manage events, build websites, configure registration, manage RFPs, and run reports just as you do today.
    • For CSN Planner specifically, the update is focused on how you navigate to workflows, not on removing or fundamentally changing the workflows themselves.

Think of this as getting a better, more efficient front door to the same powerful tools.
