Hello, 

My organization does not allow non-members to register for events, in general. The issue is there are a ton of exceptions regarding this for special 1-time non-member attendees from the sales team.  

Can I create a registration type or path that requires a code to be used to enter it?  I am thinking this is a possible solution. 

I would appreciate all other ideas.

Hi Marjorie,

A code is a great idea! We utilize voucher codes to be like passwords to your event and they can be registration path specific. You can provide non-members will a weblink to the non-member path and they can enter in a passcode before being able to register. 

You can also enable registration approval to have a second look at those non-members before fully admitting them to your event.

We operate very similarly, though allow more non-members for certain events. What I usually do is set up a specific registration path for non-members, and then send a link to that path directly to those who would be attending. Typically we are already having one-on-one conversations with the non-members who would be attending already. I then also set up registration approval for anyone who registers with that path so that I can double check them.
