  • 1.  Removing registrant from a session

    I had to change a registrant's registration type and the new type does not allow her to register for any sessions, only optional items.  Unfortunately she was already registered for a session when I changed her type, now I cannot seem to remove her from that session.  This is important as I have others on the waitlist and unless I can clear her, the slot will not become available.  How do I remove her/free up her slot in the session?

    Hi Pam! With no insight into your program setup here are my initial thoughts:

    1. Are you able to switch her back to the other registration type just long enough to un-register her from the sessions she'll no longer be eligible for, and then switch her back?
    2. If not, a workaround to trigger your waitlist would be to add a seat to the class - but I would only do this if you know you have no other options and this person is going to stay registered.

    That's my 2 cents - take with a grain of salt as, again, I'm not looking at the event like you are. Hope this helps!

    Hi Pam, 

    I had something similar happen to an event last year. Below is what I did:

    What I did was go to Agenda, search for your session and then click the number of attendees that are registered to that slot. It should then take you to the attendee list where you can find the attendee and put a check mark next to their name. Then go to Bulk Actions and select update session registrants. It will bring a pop-up window, in the Update Method select 'Unregister all from session', search for the session, click on it. It will give you one more screen to choose to confirm. Sometimes it gives the option to notify the attendee, I always uncheck that box. 

    For the limited visibility are you using Audience segments in your agenda or Advanced Rules?
