    "Error Message: You won't be able to add this contact as you don't have access to the contact group this contact belongs to"

    Am able to add some of my contacts to a survey, but not others (some critical to the survey effort).

    Have tried multiple ways to add, but continue to get following message:

    "You won't be able to add this contact as you don't have access to the contact group this contact belongs to"

    Is there a way to get past this issue?

    Hello David,

    This error means you don't have access to the contact group that those specific contacts belong to. That's why you're able to add some contacts, but not others.

    There's no end-user workaround for this. To resolve it, please contact your account administrator and ask them to either:

    • Grant you access to the required contact group, or

    • Add those contacts to the survey/invitation list on your behalf.

    If this is a recurring need, it may also help for your admin to review your user role and contact group visibility settings.

    Thank you for the follow-up.

     

    Part of the issue was that I had the survey marked as "Private" which precluded me from sending it out to those who couldn't be contacted via the website.

     

    I think that we are ok for now!
